In an exciting three set match against region leader Palmetto Christian Academy, the Crusaders managed a split out of the first two sets only to fall by two points in the deciding set 25-27. The Crusaders suffered through unforced errors and mental mistakes in the first set, then put together one of their best sets of the year to claim the second set. In the third and deciding set, the Crusaders fell behind early, but rallied in the middle, then saw the lead change hands several times before falling 25-27. The crusader offense was led by Lilly Pantoja who delivered 18 serves without error while accumulating 5 aces. Hadley Lindner also had 5 aces to go along with 5 kills followed by Jennifer Scruggs with 4 kills and Ilianna Gillie with 3. Molly Pantoja and Victoria Simmons played well in the back row. Leah Beck led serve receive with a 2.6 rating out of a possible 3. JV finishes their season next Monday at RE Lee Academy.
