Boys Varsity Basketball · Crusaders Crowned “King”

Northside Christian Academy won their varsity boys basketball opener last Tuesday against King Academy, 38-36.  The game went back and forth the whole night with neither team able to do much on the offensive end.  The Crusaders used a stifling 3-2 zone defense to keep King at bay and were able to get timely scoring from Senior Cory Black and Sophomore Jeb Reiser.  Black led the Crusaders with 12 points, while Reiser added 9.  Charlie Compton led the Crusaders in rebounds.  The Crusaders were able to utilize a great home atmosphere to finish off the game in the 4th quarter.  “That was one of the best home crowds we have had in a while and I hope we can get that same environment on a nightly basis.  It was definitely a factor,” stated Coach Harman.

Charlie Compton is in the spotlight during pregame introductions.  Jeb Reiser is shown spotting up for a 3 point shot.
